Description: This documentary explores Christian fundamentalist organizations dedicated to curing homosexuals. In particular, the film focuses on the activities of Exodus International, an umbrella organization that serves an international network of therapy groups and lay ministries specializing in homosexual recovery. The film includes interviews with Exodus International counselors and ex-gays as well as members of the gay and lesbian community who criticize the methods used by Exodus and its associates. Archival footage of psychological therapy sessions provide an historical perspective on the attitudes of mental health professionals toward gays and lesbians and the various reparative treatments that have been prescribed.
