Description: This underground farce by a filmmaker of the New German Cinema is a black comedy concerning everyone's worst fears about AIDS. Irreverent yet serious, the film covers various aspects of the AIDS epidemic, misconceptions, effects and political ramifications. Among the characters who appear in this contemporary cautionary tale are a student of religious music, the owner of a gay sauna who is his lover, a woman scientist overtaxed by the AIDS problem, a tabloid reporter, a psychotherapist who believes that the disease is psychosomatic, and a male nurse who is also a revolutionary working to force victims and the state to confront AIDS.
