Description: Charles Keith is the master of ceremonies in this nightclub performance film. Before introducing the evening's acts, he confesses that he is an unemployed actor whose idol is Bette Davis. He then performs a masterful impersonation of the actress's role in The Letter. Keith is followed by Joesfred Portee who sings I love my daddy, but I've got to have my fun and Little Audrey Armstrong, an interpretive dancer. (This film is part of the Tyler, Texas Black Film Collection, a group of motion pictures made between 1935 and 1956 featuring mostly or all-Black casts, produced and/or directed by African-American filmmakers and shown primarily to Black audiences. All films are preceded by a 4 minute explanatory introduction by Ossie Davis.)
