Description: The Tsosie sisters of the Navajo community in Pine Springs, Arizona, wanting to make a film showing the old ways, chose their grandfather a medicine man, to be their subject. The film opens with the elderly man walking across the Navajo landscape searching for the roots and herbs which he is to use as part of a religious ceremony. He executes a sand painting and performs the curing ritual. The film ends with the grandfather leaving the hogan and proceeding to his own camp.
