[Music] hello I'm Jerry Bartel and these are the play timers who play act our stories for us down this road is a place called brigands fog and that's where a boy named Pat doesn't want to go candy is packed as finer boy has ever taught the spod of old Ireland always busy he is running errands for the neighbors earning a bit of money to support his dear mother gave his fat mother and proud she is of a fine lad who's been man of the house ever since his father Michael Halloran may the Saints preserve him took the wrong turn of the road and got lost in biggest bargain these many years fast jingle you're the pixie about so big exactly now to the story of Pat and the pixie his path it's almost dark in the hurries home from Marcus and he repeats his errands to make sure he's forgotten nothing a letter from Dennis - Mollie Maguire a package of snuff for Oh paddy Malone a singing teakettle to hang by the fire and whistled a tune for the widow McClure a box of pink pills the top Brady is sendin to Clancy who suffer in terrible pain Oh his honor the mayor a shilling he's spending for this extra special mahogany King Here I am with a road device now let me see which way do we go mother said go to town turn left going home turn right or was it the other way around down a right lane Homewood found a job but the left lane leads to breakage fog less than the spot by daylight a marshy overgrown place were sweet Arbutus crew but at night not many care to go near it they said the fairies dance there by moonlight and cast a spell over anyone who watched them Pat didn't want to go to Brigid fog I know it's the right fan turn of course and home Abbey and half a jerk but as luck would have it the right-hand turn was wrong and Pat found himself in Brigid fog there was a pixie dancing a little man barely two feet high pass that down to the side of the bargain chest his toes and times of a music and then the pixie saw him and stopped dancing would you care to dance with me Pat sure and it's kind of your honor to ask me and like - I would but I must be getting home with me packages the packages will wait Pat come and gun and suddenly Pat's head with a spray into the Lillith eerie music the 6er jimin and pat could no longer say no his feet might as well have belong to someone else for all they might eat him while the pixie feed acetone that cat cig diverse above his feet like Heather's his heels clicking higher and higher till the ferryman the rod is afraid of it it was very inspired at last he would like to stop but the pixie would not let him the music world the spell that hard as he cried he couldn't break it lame with weariness odd anonymous twirl throughout the night till he had danced all the leather off the soles of his shoes and his feet hurt so he could barely stand all the poor shoes knew they were this month and now there's nothing left of them don't break your heart about it pot I'll lend you my own shoe till morning yeah the pixie shoes were much too small for him but not wishing to hurt the little man's feelings Pat slipped his toes into those fixes though they were made for him and what's more all the soreness at the feet like magic by these are wondrous shoes be sure to bring them back to the bog for sunrise fat on fat before you go look about and tell me what you see there on the ground everywhere Pat look for jewels sparkling in the moonlight and diamonds and emeralds well you help yourself pass or take what's giving you hi I'll take what your honor pleases to give me be thankful good boy then I'll give you these Arbutus blossom put some bias for luck Pat Pat would have liked some of those precious jewels but he took the Arbutus blossoms and thanks for fixing kindly does let me does so shoes [Music] and there was Pat woman a twinkling indeed the fairy music still rang in his ears and though the pixie shoes had soothe the tired feet his aching body longed for rest so we're early he went off to bed leaving on the table untended the luck of the pixie the Arbutus blossom in the morning Pat's mother heard his story and our mother I must be off to return the pixie shoes should not be going back here again Pat there is no need to worry mother you told me yourself a pixie can't harm a lad who is honest and refuses his gold it's on us to return the shoes and this for the gold he gave me only these are Judas Rock great shining around pieces we're the artists awesome head lane was now a pile of gleaming coins Pat touch them afraid to believe what he saw trick to be sure they have Mike O'Sullivan and now they what is fun let's the pixie come get his shoes he'll find them right there unless I return him what is his I'll never be free of the spell it was true Pat's mother knew then go you must but Pat remember this if you can learn a pixie secret you'll have him in your power now begone and be careful the ferryman was waiting for Pat the top of the morons your honor here's your shoes and here's your gold - you'll not trick me we'll have only what belongs to us but that we want tell me if you please where would you be keeping Michael Halloran oh they did it now Pat don't worry about what Pat suddenly if plateau surrounded again by a fairy music his head swimming in the beat of it try as he might he couldn't resist find my boy but try it faster now you've learned who is your master round and round Fatma twirl and skips and world and hop while the pixie held his prize with laughter pat held his side too because he was so bristling and he tells under his best bow had him alone snug he loosened the wrapper and grabbed a fistful and then he threw the snuff raised to the little man's laughing face the music stopped and pat fell wearily to the ground the picked his tall hat flew off his head and Pat caught it and then Pat knew with a pixie secret on top of his head where the Hat had hidden them were two sharp little horns the pixie tried to hide them and begged pat for his hat you'll have your hat your honor when I have me daddy back you're a hard man plastic but what must be must be give me merit and call your father he'll answer before the motor time and the pixie disappeared Michael Collins Michael O'Halloran do you hear me it's your plastic college come home when the moon was up at last it showed unpacked still calling his daddy through the mist of briquette fog its shown to a long-lost Michael Holland returned from the land the little smoke so you're my pot you've grown a bit boy would you be known the way home Pat would and Pat did he wasn't one to make the same mistake twice and so Michael Halloran got home and I think he's likely to stay there as for Pat he danced many a jig before he was old and stiff but never again did he wear the leather off his shoes dancing with the Pixies in friggin star [Applause] pack was never afraid of brigade's blog again Rosie and the pixi behaved after that hidden D and Pat's mother was happy with her husband for many a long year wasn't she so much for path to the fixing another day another story for the young and the young in heart the paid time is in our I hope you'll be with us [Music] [Music] [Music]
