Jerry Bartell’s Playtime. Aladdin And The Wonderful Lamp.

[Music] hello I'm Gerry Bartel and these are jingle champion gay our play timers I'd like to show you a lamp that would be a very handy thing to have it belonged to a boy named Aladdin looks a little like you candy and he once saw a princess look something like you okay and a genie but we'll get out our story in a moment in a far-off land a long time ago lived a boy named Ann Levine who spent all his time playing in the streets aha the merchants of cloth has left his market stall intended for a moment and here's a Ladin's chance to learn how it would feel to wear a coat of rich brocade a stranger is watching him as he admires the smooth fabric can imagine himself a prince you'd like to be I have a small errand for which I need a boy who has his wits about him and can hold his tongue I'd pay enough to buy everything in the shop then come with me boy the stranger leads Aladdin out from town into a deserted rocky paths in the nearby mountains Aladdin is frightened and wishes he hadn't come doesn't dare turn back they stop in a lowly spot and the old man does something that shows Aladdin that he is a magician a hole in a solid rock below is a cave where this ring for luck you'll find an old tarnished lamp down there bring it to me the magician lures Aladdin into the cave on a rope now where to look Aladdin peers through the darkness there this must be what the magician wants give me the lamp fish you can pull me in the last - give it to me Dana pull you out but Aladdin thinks the magician might not help him out of the cave once he has the lamp so he takes no chances furious the magician seals the cave entrance leaving Aladdin shut up alone in the darkness what will happen to him now but even as the cruel magician stomps angrily away quite by accident Aladdin rubs the lamp [Applause] [Music] this Chinese old lamb get me out of here you wish Aladdin is free with the lamp in his arm he hurries to find his way from this dreadful place now Aladdin can have anything he wants I wish I wish I wish I've had a table [Music] I wish I wish I wish [Music] a bag of money hanging heavy at my waist for to ride a castle rich to sue of my taste I will I wear [Music] I [Music] and they do come true with the help of the genie of the wonderful lamb but now why a young man so wealthy and powerful should have nothing but the best he will marry the Sultan's daughter the Sultan is a wealthy and powerful gentleman himself and is much impressed he must be a nobleman how blended lady dresses what rare and costly treasures is given the sulfa yes the Ladin will make a fine husband for his daughter aladdin describes the beautiful home he'll pillow for his bride near the royal palace a golden stairway will lead to spacious garden powers of purest white bomb with precious stones even as he's describing if the genie of the lamp gives him what he wants so Aladdin marries with tokens daughter and every morning the Sultan looks out his bedroom window at the lovely talents where his daughter lives and congratulate themselves on her fortunate marriage I wish that were the end of Aladdin story but we mustn't forget the wicked magician he hasn't forgotten the lamp you may be sure he disguised himself as a peddler and he's on his way to Aladdin's castle with cheap copper lamps in his pack the princess knows a bargain when she sees one now where does Aladdin keep that tarnished old lamp Aladdin's off on a hunting trip and what a surprise he'll get when he comes back at last Aladdin and the princess genie [Music] [Music] we're the beautiful castle now stands suddenly at the teenies command there is nothing morning again the Sultan slept well but home Aladdin's palace is gone and is Tata with it there's something peculiar going on and Aladdin must be to blame he must be put to death Aladdin requests forty days to find the princess and the Sultan agreed but where to look Aladdin twists his hands and grief and it twists to the magician's ring here's another genie you suppose he's useful tools where is my castle for my princess take me there at once [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] it works a lab he's found his life and now to rub the lamp and order the genie to return the palace where it belongs but this isn't his wonderful lamp aladdin learns how the magician has tricked him he will be here soon he comes every day to ask me to marry him he said you were dead trickery must be met with degree let the magician come Aladdin will be ready for him here he is and in that glass of wine Aladdin has put poison one swallow and he'll be dead hidden behind the curtain Aladdin watches and waits why doesn't he drink does he suspect a plot is this his way of tormenting Aladdin and his wife at last he changed the graph and his wicked race is over did he carry the lamp with him [Music] your commands take us and the palace back home as [Music] if the person happened just now to be looking out of this bedroom window this is what he'll see and I'm willing to guess it won't surprise of the lease see he picked that boy as his son-in-law and he knows this is just the beginning of Aladdin's adventures but I wasn't fair like the Sultan so I can only tell you what I've been told about the Latin and his wonderful and isn't it I could think of lots of uses for Aladdin's lamp couldn't you candy was Aladdin gay was a princess jingle and I filled in where neither will be back another day with another story [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music]
