Description: Shows a male three-spined stickleback defending a territory against a variety of intruders including another male stickleback and a newt. During the construction of his nest he is seen clearing a site, collecting material and pushing and gluing it into position. A courtship sequence illustrates the zig-zag dance, pricking showing the nest-entrance and spawning and fertilization. The male's post-spawning behavior includes chasing away the female, vigorous pushing at the nest and fanning.
