[Music] these people are Serenity Secrets they  come out at dawn Sundays in the San Fernando Valley in search of alpha brainwave togetherness  they're all part of the 2400 member biomeditation Society one of dozens of such groups exploding  into a full-blown pop Alpha cult the idea of scientific aspect toward internal States is  really exciting for me in that it keeps you from fooling yourself into thinking that  you're doing something when you're not really doing it and the instrument tells you  when you're doing it when you're not doing it I hate to say the word god I definitely uh feel  it has to do with things like that we call God sort of super human things [Music] the Skeptics it's a fraud and maybe  a little bit of buzzing in the ears to people in the movement it's part  religion part Alpha part's prayerful trip leader Jack Garris warms his people up  with a preliminary yoga circle of Fire you are the circle of Fire allow yourselves  to become totally it the process of moving but be aware of that Circle of fire as a  Hindu say the Maya the illusion that we create and call reality [Music] now once  you have firmly established that Circle of fire around your head like a like  a Halo possibly maybe a little tilted then make a larger circle of fire with your  shoulders just turn your body allow it to move in a circle with your shoulders but keep the circle  of fire going around the head keep it burning now till awareness now if your mind wonders  that's groovy but allow it to come back through the circles of fires okay now are  they there are they clearly clearly defined now in your imagination take a look at them  for a moments see them Burning Brightly there again this is what the Hindus would call Maya  illusion you have created it you can undo it so just do a slow neck roll reverse neck  roll allow that circular fire to disappear wipe it out now oh yeah don't  let anything linger behind past Karma past Guild past fears  and then the larger circle of Fire reverse it wipe it out and that is what Blake would call the  uh cleansing the doors of perceptions
