Yes, ma'am

A probing, often troubling documentary on the Black household workers of New Orleans, a vanishing remnant of the Old South. The film examines who they are, their relationship to the families they work for, and how they have adapted to the radically different world that has emerged around them. Some of the subjects interviewed include lifelong retainers for prominent families, day-workers in several persons' homes, a union of household workers, their employers, their families, and the white children the workers helped raise.
