Filmed inside the Soviet Union, this documentary shows how America's youth culture, especially its rock music, has filtered through the Iron Curtain, despite official disapproval. The camera tours the rock groups of Leningrad, the Liverpool of the East, where the first Soviet rock club opened. The songs reveal similar attitudes shared by American and Soviet youth.
