Description: An MGM production. Available only to schools. "In this short subject a dyspeptic elderly critic complains that the country is going to the dogs. The film then presents a number of brief scenes setting forth important events and challenges in the country's history, emphasizes the fact that no matter how well off the country has been, there have always been 'dyspeptic old gents' who are always ready to criticize and berate that which has been accomplished by others. 'This rapid review of American history is not very impressive as an historical document but does successfully show how illogical and futile are those who maintain an attitude of chronic complaint against social and political progress.' Advisory committee"
