Volcanoes : exploring the restless Earth

Introduces shield, cinder cone, and strato volcanoes by exploring active volcanoes in Hawaii, Mexico, Italy, and Iceland. Establishes the locations of the world's active volcanoes and uses graphics and photographs of Hawaii's Kilauea volcano to show the land-building activity of a shield volcano.
