The waiting room is jammed, but the children of these families are receiving the health care services they need. Thanks to the Army Reserve's 445th Medical Company in Gainesville, more than 100 medical specialists in the unit visit clinics in nearby towns. They assist public health officials in administering physicals to children from families who are unable to pay for private medical services. This year alone, the reser have examined more than 6,000 youngsters. They've traveled hundreds of miles to bring their voluntary assistance to the communities that need them most.
