The filmmaker creates a nostalgic and evocative childhood dream world with old locomotives, Kansas farm scenes, freely associated sepia-toned images from old instructional films. Conner's themes of the American Dream, conformity and destruction are woven into the film and evoke moods which range from serenity, power and wistful beauty to the almost ominous.
