Explores the relationship between area and perimeter through an animated story about three pigs who go out to seek their fortunes, each armed with eight metres of magic rope. Shows how the first two pigs misuse their rope while the third pig compares the different arrays of square metres that can be formed by the rope. Explains that by doing this he learns how to create the maximum protective area.
