Description: Hammer's surrealistic documentary is a personal reflection on aging and death. The camera is the unseen eye that follows Hammer's 97-year-old grandmother down the corridors of a nursing home and up the aisles of a supermarket. The filmmaker uses the optical printer to present fragmented and layered imagery indicative of Anna's internal consciousness, the essence of her optic nerve. In the end, Hammer's hand enters the frame touching the dying woman.
