Description: A 20th Century-Fox production available only to schools. "Taken before the Spanish Civil War, 'Memories of Spain' pictures a beautiful and peaceful countryside, with its castles, shepherds and sheep in the high mountains, native villages, large country yarns of wine making, and men and women harvesting oranges. The commentary is by Lowell Thomas. Although the commentary contains references to Spain's history, the picture, in texture, is somewhat inappropriate and entirely out of tune with the picture. The educational potential is excellent. Highly recommended as being valuable in social studies and geography classes, grades 6 through 9. For art appreciation and as project material, it should be very valuable in all grades. Should be valuable in industrial art classes also." Advisory committee.
