Description: A portrait of Carl Jung (1875-1961) from his earliest work with Freud and his explorations into the mysteries of the human unconscious to his more expansive views on the human psyche. The second half of the film shows how Jung, compelled by a vision of world catastrophe, emphasized that the world-nation must strive to understand and integrate the conflicting forces within. The film interweaves interviews with friends and colleagues, archival footage and home movies to present a perspective on Jung and the importance of his work.
