Description: Animated scenes and live-action combine to tell the legend of Jimmy Blue Eyes, a Negro blues singer who wins an old silver trumpet in a card game but loses his girlfriend to Joe, great jazz trumpeteer. He is eventually sent to prison for being involved in a murder. For twenty years he practices, searching for the perfect note. When he is released, he sells his soul to the "Devil" in order to play a perfect, final note on his trumpet., Jazz ballad with verse narration. Shows what the world is like to a jazz musician as portrayed by a trumpeter, imprisoned 20 years for murder, who seeks to find a perfect sound on his trumpet.
