Holography

Explains that holography is a lensless photographic system which enables true three-dimensional images to be projected by laser beam from a holographic plate on which no visible image can be seen. Demonstrates how holograms are made and displays several examples. Incorporates an evaluative discussion of existing and possible applications, including three-dimensional television and movies, new techniques for microscopic analysis, and new data storage methods.
