Complete Record: 1) Goodyear Tire commercial featuring a group of sharply dressed women in the desert. One of them stands with one wide boot planted on an upright Goodyear tire. She kicks it forward and signals the men in their cars to start racing. The women watch them, one lady sitting on a stack of tires with binoculars. Fast cuts of tires rolling by, cars driving in a line. Another lady with her foot on a tire holds up her hands and stops the cars. Tires keep rolling, women wander about, race flags are waved. The Goodyear logo is seen, with “New Wide Tread Auto Tires” underneath it. 2) Title card that reads “Famous Art Talent Scout Michael Kent” is seen. Kent begins to talk about the need for art in all sorts of working fields, and the need to find new talent. An artist is seen sitting at his easel and canvas, painting a woman in a dress. The woman is seen posing for him. Kent holds up a pamphlet filled with various pictures and visual exercises to show the techniques of some artists and how classes in such can lead to a career in art. This art talent test will be mailed free of charge. He then prompts viewers to call and sign up for such courses. 3) Russian film about Obninsk and the creation of atomic energy and industry. Views of the facilities at Obninsk, the buildings and exterior shots. City in the middle of a forest. Flowers seen on the ground near a flaming monument to those lost during World War II. People near fountains. The world’s first nuclear power plant was built here in the 1950’s. Scientists are seen at their equipment and managing the reactor. The nuclear research center is seen, with scholars and scientists seen looking hard at work or in deep discussion, in front of chalkboards and at desks. Lots of white coats. Doctors using equipment that is aided by atomic research. Experimental research center is seen, with scientists milling about. A plane flies around the facility. Scientists in the snow. Storage of magnetic tape database. Underground facilities. Welders on apartment balconies. People walking in town, by fountains, in ballet class, on benches in parks, trying on wedding gowns, swimming, doing athletics like high jump and dirt biking, kids at a playground with a large fake sail ship. Close ups of various children. A scientist looks intensely at his equations. 4) Men in army training running and clapping, looking content. A man in uniform walks through a hanger filled with tanks. He jumps up onto one and with his tools is ready to work. Soldiers in uniform marching in formation with flags. “Join the people who’ve joined the Army” appears under a closer up of one soldier. A telephone number also appears. 5) Commercial - A blonde woman lounges on a couch up in the clouds. She looks around and smiles, and sees herself on a billboard for Muriel Cigars. She is seen in various clothing and backdrops from countries like Germany, France, Spain, Japan. 6) Film trailer - A man collapses in a bar. The man is carried into the lair of a secret society of Chinese men, who all look menacing. White sailors and Chinese men have a large brawl in the street. “The Terror of the Tongs” a Hammer Film Production is seen on the screen. Trailer is repeated multiple times. 7) A pretty young woman walks confidently, is seen doing martial arts, and running among the palm trees in her bikini. She kicks and beats up bad guys on a plane while disguised as a stewardess. The titles “Superchick” appears on the trailer. 8) A caravan of many mules and some wagons is seen going across the desert. They go through canyons and mountains. 20 Mule Team Borax and Boraxo products are seen. 9) “Carry Me Back to the Lone Prairie” by Carson Robison and his Buckaroos. Lots of musicians doing cowboy activities, rustling cattle, riding horses. Lots of horses passing through wooden gates. Silhouettes of cowboys riding along the plain.
