Description: Presents an analysis of the basic paces of the trained horse, emphasizing how the timing and sequence of footfalls vary from pace to pace. Shows several horses performing the fundamentals and variations of the basic paces: walk, trot, canter, gallop, and rein back. Demonstrates the basics of each pace using colored bandages on the horse's legs and slow-motion and stop-action sequences to facilitate careful study of the movements.
