This documentary draws on interviews with Carlos Fuentes, writer and diplomat, Lyman Kirkpatrick, former Executive Director of the CIA, Murat Williams, former U.S. Ambassador to El Salvador, and Sister Peggy Healy, a Maryknoll missionary, to examine the roots of military dictatorships in Latin America and the role of the U.S. It looks at U.S. involvement in Nicaragua, Guatemala, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Chile and El Salvador.
