first I wasn't too serious because of the rules that were being offered I thought well I'll just make enough money in the film industry and then go back to school because the people were still very they weren't accepting blacks in very good sound rules there were pretty much token roles stereotype rules and they weren't strong and I was I'm a very strong personality you know I can't be very a passive and subordinate and the movies you start and have been called superwoman movie no they say superwoman I think they get me confused with they think I've been in Cleopatra Jones and some of these superwoman films but I'm not I'm not faster than a speeding bullet I don't work case I don't fly if I could fly then I would be a superwoman but I can't I get out of situations on my own I'm always getting beaten up or something happens to me I take the licks you know I get hurt I even broke my leg in coffee and we've finished the last two weeks of shooting with a cast on we just painted a boot on it to make it match the other boot but a superwoman wouldn't get hurt nothing would happen you know as you see the Superman and Clark Kent and Batman they never got hurt right nothing fazed them but it's a young woman who was able to get out of a situation on her own and use her instincts and as she grows up in a black partial semi you know ghetto she has to survive and many times it's gang fights well girls are young men when the students want to take your lunch money so you gotta fight for it [Music]
