White zombie

On a Caribbean Island is a plantation run by zombies, dominated by a tall white man who holds supreme power over his slaves. Lugosi is terrific in this early classic. The choicest scene is one in which Lugosi sits whittling away on a block of wood, chatting casually, while his victim becomes paralyzed from a lethal drug. Starring Bela Lugosi, Madge Bellamy, Robert Fraser, Brandon Hurst, and John Harron. Directed by Victor Halperin.
