Describes the creation of the Bureau of Reclamation in 1902 by Congress; maps the reclamation projects in the area of the Bureau's operation; and shows the Salt River and the Lower Colorado River Basin developments. Pictures the functions of Hoover Dam, including water storage, flood control, de-silting, and generation of electric power. Shows lakes created by the dams which are used for recreation areas and wild-life refuges.
