Description: This silent films shows examples of crop dusting and spraying during the 1930s put together by Milton Sage Robertson. Robertson pioneered work in crop dusting, inventing a rotary brush atomizer (later known as ICD Rotors) for crop spraying in 1930. Soon after this invention, Robertson established his own crop dusting firm based in San Francisco, California (Bonded Dusters, later renamed Independent Crop Dusters). Between 1931 and 1934, Robertson put together film of every known phase of crop dusting and spraying for promotion and to teach pilots the techniques of the business. This film is one of several in the collection of Milton Sage Robertson Films (MS 325).
