Description: Shot by W.H. Tilley in the mid- to late 1950s, these home movies begin with clips of W.H.’s son Wesley, Jr. and his family (wife Barb and children John, Virginia, and Susan) in their backyard in Gainesville, FL in 1955. Holidays in Chicago in Christmas 1958 (apparently after Wesley, Jr. and family had relocated there) as well as footage of W.H. and Helen’s trip to Seattle make up a significant component of the film. The last features footage of W.H. and Helen’s 1959 trip to Seattle. It begins with a stopover in Chicago - visiting family as well as points of interest like Lake Michigan and the Museum of Science and Technology - and continues in Seattle, with clips of the city lights, aerial views of Seattle’s downtown and harbor, and landmarks like Chief Seattle’s Statue. Brief footage of Denver (during its Centennial) follows, with a shot of the W.H. and Helen’s Austin home concluding the set.
