Dramatizes how present-day American institutions might look when viewed from the perspective of the 23rd century. Shows that man increasingly rages against his institutions because they have been designed to resist rather than to facilitate change. Sets forth belief of John W. Gardner, former Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare, that our institutions must become more flexible and that reason rather than destruction must be used to achieve this end.
