Description: This documentary looks in detail at the history and development of Melbourne, using artist’s sketches and filmed footage to depict the history of Melbourne. Some items include the Manchester Unity Building, cars of the era travelling down St Kilda Road, St Kilda Beach, a brief history of the Princes Bridge, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Geelong and industries and transport existing in 1934. Also includes footage of the opening of Parliament.
