Vancouver: A Portrait By Arthur Erickson

Architect Arthur Erickson tours Vancouver, a city designed in harmony with its beautiful surroundings. Barely one-hundred-years-old, the city is Canada's gateway to the Orient and the world beyond. Because of its physical isolation due to the Pacific Ocean and the closeness of the Rocky Mountains, it has limited land available for horizontal growth. In recent years, the city has been expanding upwards via the skyscraper. Directed by Douglas Nicolle.
