Description: Episode of Series “World cultures and youth”. The town of Chatres near Paris, with its famous cathedral, is the home of sixteen year old Valerie Foucault, an apprentice in the craft of stained glass. As well as showing Valerie learning some of the techniques of this ancient craft, and creating her first stained glass window, the film provides background information on aspects of French history and civilization.
