Description
Episode of an internal communication series, Discover 71, that focuses on race relations in the Marine Corps. USMC Maj. Bill Negron of the Marine Corps Equal Opportunity Branch is tasked with promoting a better understanding of human relations. Negron visits Camp Lejeune for this episode. BGen. Robert Bohn (CO 2nd Div), 1stLt Phillip Como, and a number of NCOs attending the Marine NCO Leadership School give interviews. Comparisons are made between the current state of human relations within the division and the low point of July 1969. Small group discussions at the NCO school is the basis for its innovative approach to improving communication. NCOs participating in these groups and individual interviews are not identified. Original production, no video tape, preserved on film as a kinescope.
