Description
Reel contains two subjects. First, the change of command for MajGen. Joseph Koler as he relieves MajGen. J.K. Davis at MCAS El Toro on the 2nd of March, 1977. Both make speeches. Marines pass in review. MajGen. Kenneth J. Houghton attends and makes a speech. Marines and civilians spectate. Second, on the 15th through the 18th of July, 1977; the 2nd Battalion and 3/6 Marines participate in mechanized assault exercises. AV8A aircraft in flight. M60 tanks move. Marines disembark LVTP7s and take prone firing positions.
