Description
Operation Solid Shield 75 training exercises. CH53 helicopters descend and Marines disembark. Marines with camouflaged helmets and M16 rifles, M79, M60 machine guns, and M72 LAAW march and lie in wait along the side of the road. A civilian operates a tractor in his field. Marines engage in a simulated combat exercise with smoke and rest in the shade. Marines exit LVTP7s and push a mech mule with 106mm R.R. attachment. An M60 tank is ferried across a river. Marines carry simulated injured.
