Participants in the rifle and pistol match hosted by the National Rifle Association take their firing positions and fire while judges take score. Marine and civilian spectators watch the competition. The appreciation cup is handed to the first Marine President's match for the power rifle. SSgt Rick Tash interviews participants. Gen. Randolph McCall Pate is interviewed and later interviews USMC participants.
