Combat footage and diagrams illustrate the history of the Korean War and details the current armistice. M40 tanks roll through combat zones. A C47 plane takes off from a runway. A C119 drops UN pamphlets in Korean, �safe conduct passes�. LVTs roll ashore and the USS Dunn County (LST-742) drops M46 tanks and military onto the beach. A Korean village burns. A marine rides a bike past the camera while smoking a cigarette. Christian Koreans gather to pray in the open. F9F aircraft sit aboard a ship that is lashed by bad winter weather. AD4 planes can be seen. M1919 Browning .30 caliber medium machine gun sits at the ready while two marines keep at the ready. Supplies are airdropped from a C119. A young marine holds aloft large poultry. Both South Korean and American soldiers eat. Marines march on to Hungnam. A M114 155mm Howitzer is fired. Several mortars are loaded and fired in quick succession. Ships are loaded. US Marines march on through the winter, sleep on the ground, and wash despite the snow. Combat can be seen, US forces wielding M1 rifles, a M1 RR anti-tank rocket launcher, and several machine guns including a M1919 and M2 .50 cal heavy machine gun. O1 plane lands and Gen. James A. Van Fleet exits. Several 17PDR are fired. An aircraft is downed, crashing into the valley below. Marines use gasoline to burn a bridge. Further combat is seen. HRS1 and HO3S1 helicopters stand idle in the background as Adm. Turner Joy is greeted by North Korean military staff. North Korean Gen. Nam Il walks past the camera. FJ2s land on an airstrip. The ceasefire treaty is signed by Gen. Mark W. Clark. Gen. William F. Dean, the highest ranking POW, is seen.
