USMC 104644 Decade 1960 Description A Civil Affairs film describing the operations of a Combined Action Platoon in Vietnam and its positive relationship with the villagers against the Viet Cong. Opens with scenes of children and with ""The Big Battle"" by Johnny Cash played in the background by a James W. Kimbriel (LCpl.). Marine Sgt. Robert Eaton, enters the ruins of a Catholic Church and records a tape for his family back home describing his work leading the C.A.P. There are scenes of US Marines working alongside members of the Vietnamese village as well as Vietnamese children at school. A poster depicts the right and wrong way to relieve oneself while children and a USMC member laugh. Medical attention and vaccinations are given. USMC members teach some boys how to play baseball.
