Description

Nurses and sailors sort boxes containing Purple Hearts. Admiral Chester W. Nimitz speaks into a microphone. The staff car of a Lieutenant General departs. Lieutenant General Harry Schmidt, Major General Thomas E. Watson, Major General Pedro del Valle, Smith, Major General James T. Moore, and unidentified officers chat. Smith, Moore, and unidentified naval officers pin Purple Hearts on Marines' uniforms. A Marine band plays music. Footage of the U.S. flag. Marines depart.
