Battalion color guards march in front of the review stand, receive the flag of the Marine Corps from unidentified officers, and depart in trucks. General Lemuel C. Shepherd Jr. arrives on a truck to the review stand. Shepherd, Major General Robert H. Pepper, Mildred Liebermann Pepper, and officers stand on the review stand. The 3rd Division Marine band passes in review and plays music. Marines, M4 tanks, color guards, jeeps, and HO3S helicopters pass in review. Marines and civilians spectate. A Marines uses a telephone while sitting under a sign that reads, "Phone Santa Claus at North Pole here."
