Description
PHIBEX exercises at Camp Pendleton on October 4-10, 1952. Footage of ships offshore. LCMs and LCVPs with Marines onboard, and a patrol boat move through the water. A LST lays down smoke. Marines receive instructions aboard a ship. A sailor raises pennants. A DUKW with Marines onboard moves out into the water. Marines set up 105 mm Howitzers, communicate in the field, receive mail, clean weapons, unload supplies, and move through the chow line. A R6D of VMR-352 prepares to land. HRS-1 helicopters fly overhead. Footage of a convoy of LVT-3s. Ships featured in the film: LST-602, LST-1141, LST-1101, and USS Klondike (AD-22). Content related to USMC 103883.
