Description
PHIBEX exercises at San Diego and Camp Pendleton on October 10-11, 1952. Marines explore San Juan, attend a U.S.O. Party, and dance with Puerto Rican women. In California, Marines advance across terrain, operate M4A3 tanks, and prepare to fire a 75 mm recoilless rifle. HRS-1 helicopters land and drop off Marines. Marines board HRS-1 helicopters of HMR-362. Marines disembark a LVT-3, establish a beachhead, and dismantle defenses. Marines travel via a convoy of trucks and DUKWs. Aboard a ship, Marines undergo inspection. A HTL-2 helicopter sits on the deck of the ship. A submarine moves through the water. Content related to USMC 103883.
