Description
PHIBEX landing at Camp Pendleton on October 10, 1952. LVT-3s land on the beach. Marines disembark LVT-3s, LCMs, and LCTs and establish a beachhead. M4A3 tanks, cranes, bulldozers, tractors, and trucks disembark LCTs and LCMs and come ashore. Marines attend to wounded, dig foxholes, and use communication equipment. Marines use a recovery boom to recover a LCVP in the surf. A Marine tries to get a Jeep unstuck from the sand. A H5 helicopter of HU-1 flies overhead. Ships featured in the film: LCT(6)-1225, LSU-776, LCU-1458, LCT(6)-1396, LSU-1224, and LSU-1374. Content related to USMC 103883.
