Description
TRAEX II on Vieques and Marines on liberty on St. Thomas and Cuba in October, 1952. Footage of bay and island homes on St. Thomas. MPs stand in formation. An officer stands at the head of the gangway of the USS Botetourt (APA-136). Marines disembark the USS Botetourt and receive flyers welcoming them to the US Virgin Islands. Footage of the Virgin Isle Hotel. Officers greet Major General Randolph M. Pate, Brigadier General Gregon A. Williams, an unidentified Brigadier General, and other officers as they depart a R4D. HRS-1 helicopters fly overhead and land in an open field, and Marines use machine guns during TRAEX II exercises on Vieques. Marines visit Havana and interact with locals. Footage of El Capitolio.
