Description
Change of Command ceremony with Lt. Col. William F. Santelmann, Director of the United States Marine Corps Band, at 8th and I on April 29, 1955. Marines raise and lower the U.S. flag. Civilians and military personnel enter 8th and I. Santelmann conducts the Marine band. Santelmann passes his baton to Captain Albert F. Schoepper (new Marine Corps Band Director). Schoepper receives a ceremonial sword from Santelmann. Schoepper conducts the Marine band. Shots of Lieutenant General William O. Brice, Santelmann, and an unidentified Colonel. Aforementioned officers greet civilians and military personnel. The Marine Band, Color guard, and Silent Drill Platoon parade. Civilians and military personnel spectate.
