Description: Original camera footage edited for broadcast for KNTV San Jose Channel 11 news. Includes national, local, and sports coverage. The broadcast script for this date has not survived. Reel 1: Segment 1 (sound): KNTV Reporter Bob Marsden reports from the current San Jose State College football stadium on SJSC's plan to expand the stadium to 41,000 seats. The plan was recently submitted to the San Jose City Council. Marsden interviews SJSC's Sports Director Bob Bronson, who says it's a sound proposal, it answers a need in the community, it will attract teams to San Jose State that previously did not want to compete because the stadium was too small. Marsden says that the stadium will be open to use by other colleges in the area. Followed by silent shots of the stadium, and possibly shots of Stanford University's stadium. Segment 2 (silent): Waves on the beach at Capitola (?), where a Roberson Bros. truck dumps a large quantity of soil on the beach and then pushes it into the waves. Reel 2: Segment 1 (silent): Night shots of emergency crews working on Highway 1 to bring up bodies/stretchers on a rope pulley system from the cliff below. Day shot of personnel parked along the side of the road, with shots over the edge of the cliff. Appears to be the site of an accident. Segment 2 (silent): San Jose City Council meeting. Segment 3 (silent, color): Tractor in a field with small crowd nearby.
