Description: Since the United Nations was founded there have been more than 200 very important people – Heads of State, Prime Ministers, Chiefs, and Royalty – come to visit here at Headquarters. When they come, they get a very special reception and are given a personally conducted tour. They are met by a member of the Office of Protocol and introduced to all the delegates in the General Assembly. Usually the visitor makes a speech and then sees the rest of the United Nations buildings and it’s received by the Secretary-General in his private office high up in the Secretariat building. We open our series of shows by giving our two children from the International School a “pretend” VIP tour with the help of our UN Guide.
