Description: Analyzes the action of electric typing as compared to manual typing and then describes the manipulative parts of the manual machine--the function adn purpose of the space bar and the tabulator, setting the margin and responding to the bell. Closely analyzes the various functions of the back spacer, the carriage release, the line finder, the margin release and the variable button. Further demonstrations show the location of numbers and their operation.
