Through the rivalry of two trumpeters representing brass bands of St Andrew’s Club and the Union Club, in Luga, Southern Malta, we are shown a picture of Maltese life, changing from its age-old religious conformities to meet with the demands of the 20th century, which is rapidly encroaching on its social and cultural customs.
