Description: Discusses plate curves for a typical triode, a 6dj8, and shows how they reveal three basic characteristics, amplification factor, AC plate resistance and transconductance. A load line is plotted to show how the amplification of a simple amplifier circuit can be determined for the curves. Uses a special oscilloscope to continuosly display the curves of a tube in use.
